THIS month’s meeting at Slimbridge Village Hall saw 30 ladies attempting to make rustic willow plant supports and decorate rope and willow obelisks under the safe guidance of local gardening expert, Sue Gibson.
A few of our members, Gillian Pollak, Moira Garner and Tania Honey, felt they could put their efforts to better use and great hilarity ensued during an evening that was nicknamed “a 50+ playgroup”.
Not sure our younger members appreciated that!
March sees more hands-on activity with chocolate truffles, both presenting and decorating them ready for Mother’s Day. That, of course, assumes they haven’t been eaten beforehand.
