A 35-YEAR-OLD Cam motorist drove his Ford Transit van when he was more than twice above the legal alcohol limit, magistrates heard.
Edward Maxwell of Frederick Thomas Road, Cam pleaded guilty to drink-driving when he appeared before Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on February 8.
He was stopped by police on January 24 on the A46 at Dudbridge Hill, Stroud, the court was told.
He had 86 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.
Maxwell was banned from driving for 21 months, fined £140 and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85.
