A BMW driver from Kingswood who drove while under the influence of alcohol and been banned from the roads for three-and-a-half years.
David Tarling of Abbey Mews, Hillesley Road, Kingswood pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol when he appeared before Cheltenham magistrates on February 14.
The 57-year-old was stopped by police in his BMW 420 in High Street, Kingswood on January 30.
He was found to have 82 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than twice the legal limit of 35 micrograms.
Tarling was also fined £120 and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85.
