However, the skies will brighten a little for some during the afternoon, allowing some drier interludes.
It will remain windy, especially in exposed spots.
Temperatures will reach a high of 10 degrees and a low of nine degrees.
It will remain cloudy overnight with patchy rain for some but will become increasingly windy for all, especially towards dawn with more persistent rain arriving from the west by sunrise.
