SEAMSTRESSES at Stinchcombe Quilters have created a stunning handmade double quilt to help fund the Willow Trust.

The charity, which provides of respite on the Gloucester-Sharpness canal for around 6,000 children and adults with disabilities and serious illnesses each year, has been given a quilt which will be given as a prize at a raffle later this year.

Based near Frampton on Severn, the Willow Trust's two fully wheelchair accessible boats are purpose built to support disabled people of all ages.

Charity spokesman Linda Diggory said: “The quilts’ colours are blues and yellows to reflect the charity’s Days of Freedom on the water and the colours of the wildlife and flowers that our guests enjoy on their days out.

"By buying a raffle ticket you not only help fund a wonderful day for one of our disabled guests – you might also win something to treasure for life”.

If you would like to help with the raffle call the Willow Trust on 01285 651661.

The raffle draw will be held on October 25 at 2.30pm at Kingshill House in Dursley.
