REDNOCK School in Dursley have responded today's article in the Gazette which featured allegations of serious bullying.

Below is their response in full.

"We understand that those of you who have read today’s article in The Gazette Newspaper about incidents of bullying and its impact upon several students here at Rednock School may, understandably, be concerned.

"Please be assured that we do and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that each and every one of our students is well cared for and that incidents of bullying are dealt with both decisively and sensitively.

"We are fortunate enough to have a dedicated team of teachers and the ‘brilliant support and pastoral staff’ acknowledged within the article, who are here to listen to any concerns you may have.

"In addition, we have established close links with a range of other expert local agencies and organisations, in order to help to address bullying in the wider community.

"Our dedication to this cause was noted in our most recent Ofsted report, which praises the ‘outstanding’ work that Rednock does to keep our ‘students safe’, including the ‘highly effective’ way that ‘any bullying is dealt with’.

"If you would like to discuss any concerns, or raise any questions, please feel free to email: admin@rednockschool.org.uk and mark your email for the attention of Dr Cunningham, deputy head teacher.

"In addition, we are offering an additional opportunity for parents or carers to discuss any concerns by meeting with a senior member of staff.

"Should you wish to take up this opportunity, please telephone 01453 543618 to make an appointment."
