A PUB near Berkeley is once again in the running to be named the country’s best pub.
The Salutation Inn in Ham has been chosen as one of the top 16 pubs in the UK by CAMRA as it publishes its annual Good Beer Guide for 2018.
Landlord Peter Tiley is no stranger to recognition from the organisation at a national level having been named its pub of the year in 2014 and being a finalist in 2016.
Its inclusion in the top 16 shortlist comes after CAMRA’s South West branch named it the best in the region, an accolade it was given in both 2014 and 2016.
The Salutation Inn will now compete in the next round of the competition hoping to be named one of the four super-regional finalists which will progress to the next stage of the competition.
The final announcement of the National Pub of the Year will take place in early 2018.
