Cattle Country Adventure Farm Park has revealed its summer programme.

The adventure park, located on Berkeley Park Farm, is holding a number of special events.

The park’s Maize Maze attraction will run from July 21-September 2.

Farm Park Entertainments activities will run from July 23-August 31 and will include daily pig racing, pantos and meet and greet with the Farm Parks mascot.

The park will also be hosting a Unicorn Weekend from September 15-16.

Cows, calves, lambs and piglets will be present and youngsters have an opportunity to find out how the farm works. There will also be a petting area and a farm trail walk.

The Kids’ Berkeley Castle, which features a 40 metre zip wire, has recently been extended with two extra towers.

There are also trampolines, slides and soft-play areas available for children.

General Manager Stuart Burnell said: “We have packed in additional attractions and activities to keep the youngsters busy throughout the holiday and beyond. There is also a large splash pool where youngsters can cool off during the current heatwave.

“We believe it’s important to give youngsters an opportunity to get a close-up view of animals in their natural environments - and our new calves and piglets are a particular favourite.

“We encourage an understanding of what farms do, covering basic animal husbandry, rare breeds, food options – and also look at healthy eating, fitness and the importance of enjoying the open air.”

Cattle Country Adventure Park is located just off the A38 between Bristol and Gloucester.
