Roadworks are expected through Yate and surrounding areas over the coming weeks.
Important resurfacing is being carried out on roads which will affect large numbers of people at the end of the month and the beginning of August.
Sundridge Park in Yate is to be closed from Monday, July 30, with diversions being put in place until the works are completed. Access to residents will be permitted during the works.
Residents in the area have expressed their concern at the closure, however the council have insisted that homeowners will still have access.
More major works will be taking place on Wickwar Road, where improvements are starting on July 23. There will be diversions in place for commuters.
