The Horseshoe in Chipping Sodbury has brewed ale with an 800-year-old recipe
A PUB in Chipping Sodbury have brewed a Medieval Ale as part of the 800 Festival taking place this weekend.
The Horseshoe pub, at the top of the High Street, have named the ale Stone Angel.
Special Limited bottles numbered 1 to 800 are on sale now.
The brew is called a "Gruit" and is made with herbs and spices.
It is based on a traditional recipes to recreate the ale that would have been enjoyed by those of the time.
The bottles are selling fast but you can still ring in and buy your favourite number. 800 will be available to the highest bidder however.
This Real Ale will also be available from casks on the Festival Day as well as The Horseshoe.
