CONCERNS have arisen about dogs who are drinking from cattle troughs in the Stroud area which may cause harm to cows.
Particularly, members of the community have been disturbed by the cattle troughs on Rodborough and Minchinhampton common.
When dogs drink from the troughs, transmittable diseases like Neospora can infect the cow.
This leads to a condition that causes the death of cells and living tissue, according to petMD.
As well as this, dog shampoo and flea treatment from the dogs coat may pollute the water.
So, in the future keep your dogs away from the troughs!
