A REVIEW of two of Cam’s play parks is being held next week.

The parish council is working to improve both the Woodfields play area and also the play park at Cam Green and would like to hear the public's views on its plans.

A spokesperson for the council said: "We’ve already held public consultations and used the results from these to draw up a tender which has gone out to different play designers.

"Cam Parish Council now has a preferred contractor and the real work is about to begin.

"We’re holding a public consultation next Tuesday, August 21, when we hope to show local people our plans and ask if they meet their needs and expectations.

"A lot of time has been spent drawing up these plans but we need to make sure we’ve got them right before work starts."

Members of the community are invited to come and meet Cam Parish Council and the play designer on August 21, at Cam Green play area at 11.30am, followed by Woodfields play area at 1.30pm.

The spokesperson added: "We’ll have the plans with us and hope to be able to talk to as many members of the community as possible about what they think of our ideas.

"This really is a unique opportunity to make a difference at two of Cam’s play areas."

For those who can’t make the play review next Tuesday, the plans will be available at Cam Parish Council, 4 Noel Lee Way, Cam.

The office is open 9.30am to 1pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9.30am to 12pm on Fridays. Staff will happy to talk people through them and make a note of residents’ ideas and thoughts.
