A DURSLEY hairdresser braved the shave and had all of her hair cut off to raise money for charity.

Mobile hairdresser Pam Weston has raised more than £1,205 for the Macmillan Cancer Relief ‘brave the shave’ campaign.

Pam said: “Cancer is something that touches everyone in some way.

"My mum died of liver cancer in 1985, and a couple of my friends have been affected by it too, so I wanted to do something to help."

Pam popped into Techniques Hair & Beauty in Cam for the cut, and watched in the mirror as her locks fell to the floor.

"But it's only hair, at the end of the day," she said.

"And having no hair is ok, it's better than I thought.

"I bought a couple of fun wigs to wear in case I couldn't stand it, but actually I haven't had to wear them."
