A NUMBER of Yate residents were taken up the M4 to the Houses of Parliament as part of the 'South Gloucestershire goes to Parliament scheme'.
MP for Thornbury and Yate, Luke Hall, has been inviting members of the public up to Westminster over the last year.
Last week 150 residents from Yate were taken by coach, marking the biggest trip to date.
This time around another 50 more people were asked to go on the trip, actually taking the complete number past 1000.
Guests to Westminster were treated to a guided tour of the building, a q and a session with Mr Hall himself and also the chance to take some pictures from the riverside terrace, giving great views from the side of the Thames.
