COMEDIAN Russell Howard is returning to his home town of Bristol for a one-off show in September to support a local charity.

Russell will be bringing his comedy show Funny Bones to The Bristol Hippodrome in support of Above & Beyond, the official charity for Bristol city centre hospitals.

Taking place on Sunday, September 30 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, Funny Bones will also feature Jon Richardson, Joel Dommett, Stuart Goldsmith, Laura Lexx and Andy Askins on the line-up. Bristol comedian Mark Olver will MC the event.

Russell said: “I’m really excited to come back to Bristol to help out a local charity that supports a fantastic cause.

“Almost everyone in Bristol will have a link to the city centre hospitals – whether they have been a patient themselves or a friend or family member has been treated.

“This year the NHS turns 70-years-old so it was especially important for me to give something back in this anniversary year.”

Edd Smith, Corporate Partnerships and Community Fundraising Manager for Above & Beyond, said: “It’s great to have Russell and so many other big names on board for what promises to be a hilarious evening of entertainment.

“It’s thanks to events like this that we can continue to go above and beyond for the hospitals and the funds raised from this event will be invaluable.”

Funny Bones is at The Bristol Hippodrome on Sunday, September 30 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. Tickets from £34.55. Visit atgtickets.com/Bristol
