FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a blaze at an electricity sub-station in Cam.
One fire engine from Dursley Fire Station and another from Wotton-under-Edge, along with one duty officer, were sent to the incident in Springhill on Friday at 1.20pm.
The crews confirmed on arrival that the sub-station was well alight and that some oil was also involved.
Western Power also attended with the crews, along with the police.
A Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue spokesman said that an oil filled transformer in the sub-station had been severely damaged by fire. One dry powder extinguisher, one foam branch, two breathing aparatus and a thermal image camera were used to deal with the blaze.
