THORNBURY'S Christ the King Roman Catholic Church continues its successful series of annual beer festivals next week (Friday and Saturday, October 27-28) in the church's Social Club in Castle Street.
This year's event - the seventh - will once again feature an eclectic range of heavenly brews from near and far. Jazz musicians will keep drinkers entertained and there will be lots of good food, including a hog roast and fresh rolls, to help soak up the liquid.
Co-ordinator Joe McHugh said: "It will be our seventh festival and we want it to be the best to date.
"Last year we ran out of beer so this time we've ordered more - and more cider, too."
Doors open at 7.30pm on the Friday and from 1pm on Saturday and all proceeds will go to the Church House refurbishment fund For more details contact Joe McHugh on 01454 419648 or Lesley Morrissey on 01454 418004.
