HOUSEHOLDERS in South Gloucestershire can apply for grants to make their homes more eco-friendly and energy efficient under a new scheme.
The council has teamed up with Severn Wye Energy Agency to launch SG Futurenergy, which will provide a grant of £500 to install green technologies in the home.
SG Futurenergy will act as a one-stop shop for people interested in finding out more about renewable energy for their home.
Expert advisers will provide free and impartial advice and support on the most suitable technologies and help with finding a reliable installer who has signed up to a customer care standard.
To find out more information about the technologies and to apply for a grant call the SG Futurenergy Renewable Energy Advice Service on 01594 544119 (Mondays to Fridays, 9am-5pm).
Alternatively, email renewables@swea.co.uk, or visit www.southglos.gov.uk/climatechange.
