AS I sit here along on this New Year's eve, I reminisce about better happier times at Halmore, mostly with songs being sung by all my, then, dear family the lovely personality of my father with this song remembered: inspiring for humanity perhaps as follows:-
"For old times sake
Don't let our emnities live
For old times sake
Let us forget and "Forgive"
Life's too short to quarrel
Hearts to precious to break
So shake hands and let us be friends (everybody)
For old times sake.
Many families fall out at Christmas due to stress perhaps and foolish men and women who drink alcohol (I knew that at the pub in Purton, thank god I am not part of that anymore) let go any anger it is a most destructive emotion. (I know) "Happy New Year" to all readers of your excellent paper.
