WE IN Dursley in Bloom will have been judged on the morning of July 23 and are very thankful for the volunteer weeding done by lst Dursley Scout Troop on Monday evening of July 21.

The leaders, Peter Tootell, Maggie Sweeting and Emma Greenwood with others helped the scouts to pickle out the weeds along Parsonage Street.

This was no mean feat as you know we have block paving and there were lots of weeds to get rid of. The hot weather had encouraged the weeds to grow even faster.

We feel sure the scouts have earned at least another badge for their scout shirts. Well done.
