AS I read the item in the GAZETTE, £1m U K I P donor will contest minister's seat, I thought the tentacles of hostile political parties are reaching us here. The love of money and the lust for power are fangs that pierce deep into society. These evils flourish where the Democratic system is used or misused in pursuit of them. Democracy to stop physical fighting can be like saying, "Peace, peace when there is no peace' - like giving an opiate to make people feel easy.
Instead of using democracy people should seek real peace, which can only be found by obeying the Word of God. In 'The nature, faith, and order of the United Reformed Church is written, 'The highest authority of what we believe and do is God's Word in the Bible.'
