I WAS sorry to read that some people have left Thornbury because of development within the town ("Housing plans made us leave", Gazette, January 19).
But on reflection, maybe that's not a bad outcome.
If more people sharing these concerns did likewise they would sleep safer in their beds, no longer fearful of imminent attack from massed hordes from the other side of the A38 and the rest of us could enjoy our lives in a living, growing town, free from misdirected efforts to preserve it in aspic until it becomes a mausoleum.
