I AM delighted that others are also concerned about the major traffic hazard that is the mini-roundabout at the junction of Rock Street with Midland Way.
There is hardly a week when I do not have to brake heavily to avoid a collision.
However my experience is totally different from the perceived problem and therefore the proposed remedy.
I never approach the junction from Tesco at more than 20 mph for the simple reason that many, if not most, drivers turning out of Rock Street steadfastly refuse to give way to traffic approaching from their right as they are required to do by the Highway Code i.e. the law.
We were all taught the remedy at a very young age. Look right, look left and look right again.
With the limited visibility this requires coming to a virtual standstill and not coasting out in to the junction.
