SONS and daughters, husbands, wives
Each devoting their own lives
To taking care of those in need
And naturally hope they will succeed
In bringing comfort to family and friends
Then being exhausted when their own day ends.
Sometimes it is the whole day through
They spend doing whatever there is to do
Cooking, washing, helping them get dressed
Eventually realising they themselves must rest
These unsung heroes keep on the go
But who cares for the carers?
Please let me know.
