I TRUST that the person who carelessly dropped a length of blue plastic string outside the Lighthouse in Dursley and caused an elderly gentleman to be injured in a heavy fall on Saturday, December 22 will reflect carefully on a spoilt Christmas for one family.

The streets are already hazardous without the dangers of getting tangled up in someone else's rubbish.

Litter bugs should be hit where it hurts - heavily by huge fines!
