BIN collection days look set to change for some residents as the council streamlines its service to cope with the increasing number of houses in the district.
Stroud District Council is currently looking into changing the routes of their refuse and recycling trucks in response to the growing number of new houses in the district.
The annual refuse and recycling calendar, that is usually delivered to households in March, is being delayed until May while the council carries out a review into the collection routes.
The review could mean than some routes will change and therefore some residents will find the day their bins are collected changes.
Cllr Joe Forbes, cabinet member for community services, said: "I want to reassure people that the changes to the waste collection days will not in any way affect the regularity or quality of collections.
"It’s business as usual and all waste will still be collected once a week and recycling every two weeks."
He added: "The reduction in the number of vehicles on the roads will also benefit the environment and the new collection routes will mean that we can offer a more efficient and cost effective service."
