A WATER leak has forced a road closure in Dursley.
Severn Trent has been carrying out emergency repair work on Long Street today Thursday, February 2 after reports of low water pressure in the town. The road is currently closed to through traffic.
A spokesman for the water company said: "The leak is on a 90-millimetre pipe and we have been trying to find it for a while after reports of low pressure in the area. This has involved tracking the flow at night and step testing, which means monitoring the flow and pressure at certain points along the network.
"We have two teams out today to locate the final location and I’m happy to say that the repair will be carried out, the road closure lifted and the work reinstated by the end of the day."
