POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was punched in the face outside a pub in Thornbury.
The victim was enjoying a night out when the incident happened just after midnight on Saturday.
The man attempted to start a conversation with another man outside the Knot of Rope in the High Street.
A police spokesman said: "The offender turned around and punched him in the face.
"A 32-year-old man was arrested following the incident and has been released on police bail."
