POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a road rage incident near the Almondsbury interchange.
The incident happened at junction 17 of the M5 at 11.50am on Sunday, March 21.
A grey Citroen Picasso had been travelling along the M5 just passed the junction with the M4, when it is alleged that another vehicle, a silver Honda Accord, cut into its path.
When the driver of the second vehicle, the Honda, reached the traffic lights at Junction 17 of the motorway a man, believed to be the driver of the first vehicle, banged on the window of his car and demanded he get out.
It is alleged that he then assaulted the other driver of the second vehicle, a man in his 20s.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident.
