HUNDREDS of drivers were left stranded this morning following a two-lorry collision on the motorway.
Police were called to the M5 southbound between junction 14, near Thornbury, and junction 15 at 6.30am immediately after the incident and two lanes were closed on the emergency services' arrival.
Both trucks were then moved to the hard shoulder.
The accident caused lengthy delays on the A38 this morning.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman told the Gazette neither driver was injured.
The speed limit between the junctions has been reduced to 40mph until further notice. Delays of up to 50 minutes are expected.
