POLICE have dealt with an increase in anti-social behaviour in Wickwar.
In recent weeks officers have been called to a number of incidents outside the village hall, on Station Road.
It is believed youths meeting in the hall car park are responsible for lighting small fires around the building.
On a separate occasion, dog excrement was smeared on a car parked outside the hall.
PCSO Haley Harrison said: "Although this cleaned off, this is not very nice and very unusual for Wickwar. There is also a hygiene issue involved.
"Small fires have also been lit around the corner of the building and this is obviously very dangerous."
She added: "This is mainly centred on youths from the village congregating around the village hall.
"The neighbourhood policing team has spoken to a number of youths in the village regarding the small fires and broken bottles in the area, and also made their families aware. Since speaking with the people involved we have received no further complaints."
