POLICE are hoping to reunite owners with their missing bicycles during a reclamation day.

Around 40 bikes will be on view to members of the public at Chipping Sodbury Police Station on Saturday, March 27 (11am-3pm).

The cycles, ranging from children’s bikes to BMX and road models, are currently being stored by police but it is hoped the event will see some of them returned to their rightful owners.

Yate beat manager PC John Gilman said: "We will be open for a few hours when people can come and see the bikes as well as some spare parts we have recovered.

"If anyone has lost a bike or had one stolen and not reported it they should come along on the day.

"We would ask that people bring some proof of ownership so they can be reunited with their bike."

Anyone wishing to attend the event should go to the main reception at Chipping Sodbury Police Station.
