WESTERLEIGH has got itself a new star this week as Big Brother contestant Josie Gibson was crowned the 2010 winner.

The 25-year-old stormed to victory winning the hearts of the British public receiving over 77 per cent of the vote, making her the most popular winner in the show’s history.

She will receive her £100,000 prize, but it’s not over for Josie, a former financial sales advisor, as last night she went straight back into the house for Ultimate Big Brother, in which former winners and contestants return to take the title of winner’s winner.

Josie’s family believe she could be in for winning the prize as she is the most ‘down to earth contestant’.

Jenna May, Josie’s cousin, said: "I think Josie has been one of the most real and down to earth contestants and people have seen that.

"We are so proud of her, we knew she would win from day one to the very end."

Jenna and family were at the London live final on Tuesday and got to see Josie just before she re-entered the house but didn’t have time for a chat.

"It was amazing, we were sitting right next to Josie during her interview. We can't wait to have her home."

During the show Josie developed a relationship with fellow contestant John James. Jenna said she is sure Josie has fallen head over heels in love with the Australian.

"She is definitely smitten, we can see it," she added.

In her post eviction interview with host Davina McCall Josie said she would give £20,000 of her winnings to children’s cancer charity CLIC and pay for disabled housemate Steve Gill’s new leg.

Questioned about John James she said: "At first I thought he was really fit in a football kit. He's super handsome. He's a bit out of my league isn't he?"

Josie will now battle it out with new housemates including Ulrika Jonsson, rapper Coolio, racing pundit John McCririck and former winner Brian Dowling.
