A KIND hearted dad called in a favour to make his daughter's prom extra special.

Father-of-four Sean Le Tissier managed to arrange for reality TV star Joey Essex to escort his 16-year-old daughter Harriet to her prom - to the amazement of fellow pupils and teacher.

Mr Le Tissier, of Penyffordd, told the Leader he had called in a favour with a mutual acquaintance of Mr Essex - who flew in especially from Ibiza for the Castell Alun prom at Llyndir Hall in Rossett on Thursday night.

He said: "I did ask her first - I said if it was possible to have Joey Essex escort her to prom, would she like it - and she said she would. No one actually believed it was going to happen.

"He was running late on the motorway so it ended up they were one of the last people to arrive.

"We kept it quite quiet because we didn't want to spoil the prom.
