AN appeal has been made for volunteers to to help run a scout troop in Thornbury and prevent one of its groups from folding.
The 1st Thornbury Scouts needs to recruit section assistants and leaders for its thriving beaver, cub and scout groups. The beaver colony especially needs leaders if it is to remain open.
Volunteers will be responsible for the running and planning of the weekly group meetings, must be able to relate to young people and have a good sense of humour.
