MORE than £1,000 was raised by St Michael's Primary School in Winterbourne and staff from Abacus Pre-Schools at a coffee morning aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event, which included a surprise appearance by children's favourite Peppa Pig, was part of the nationwide World’s Biggest Coffee Morning fundraiser organised annually in support of the charity.
Abacus has four pre-schools in South Gloucestershire, including in Winterbourne, and with the school held fancy dress and non-uniform days in return for donations of cakes to sell at the coffee morning.
