AN EVENT will raise money for the Great Western Air Ambulance in Hillesley tomorrow.

A coffee morning will be held on Wednesday, December 10 at the Fleece Inn in aid of the charity.

A Fleece Inn shareholder Peter Whitbread said: “In July I had a car accident in Wickwar and the Air Ambulance was sent out to attend. The speed with which they arrived was incredible.

“If wasn’t for the superb work of Dr Tim Hooper who stayed with me throughout then I possibly wouldn’t be here to tell the tale. I know that there are a number of people in Hillesley that really want to support the Great Western Air Ambulance.”

The Fleece is a community owned village inn which has made GWAA one of their main charities to fundraise for this year.

Mr Whitbread added: “Fleece coffee mornings are a great way for villagers young and old to get together, the pub and the church are the hub of the community.”

The event will start at 10.30am and all are welcome to come along and raise help money for the charity.
