TOOLSTATION League Premier Division side Hallen FC have teamed up with testicular cancer charity fund ‘It’s in the Bag’ for this season.

Their logo will be on the front of the club’s change strip and they will be sporting ‘It’s in the Bag’ t-shirts during their warm ups before games.

The South Gloucestershire club are also helping to raise funds for the charity by holding raffles, having collection buckets at certain fixtures and assisting in selling their merchandise.

Hallen FC secretary Richard Stokes said “We got involved with ‘It's in the Bag’ as we felt it was a very worthy cause and as a football club we feel we have an excellent platform to raise awareness amongst men, players and supporters alike, but also to help launch their Match Fit Campaign.

“We aim to highlight the importance of checking your testicles regularly and to get any concerns checked out by a doctor.”

Jon Baker, head of the Match Fit campaign at It’s in the Bag, expressed his delight at Hallen's support, he said: "We cannot be more grateful to the management and players at Hallen for the support they are giving us.

“They have shown themselves to be a true community club. By wearing our kit they will help raise awareness of this frightening but curable disease amongst the men most prone to it - those aged from about 20 to 40.

“The message is to check yourself once a month and see your doctor immediately if you find anything unusual."
