THORNBURY Litter Busters were celebrating after being presented with the Special Commendation Cup at the recent Thornbury In Bloom 2014 awards ceremony.
The group was part of the town's combined efforts which won gold in the South West in Bloom competition this year.
Members of the group not only clear the town of litter but try to encourage residents to do the same by talking to local groups and schools.
Group co-ordinator, Kim Webber said: “We are all absolutely delighted to have been chosen to receive this cup.
“It is a huge honour for the Litter Busters group and recognises the efforts made by our volunteers in helping to keep Thornbury litter free.
“We also hope that our actions might encourage others to do the same and be proud of our lovely town”.
