A THORNBURY school that’s in need of a new loo is asking people to help it get a grant for the work.
St Mary’s Primary School, in Church Road, Thornbury, needs votes so it can get a £5,000 grant to convert a room into a new disabled toilet.
School chairwoman Selina Slater said: “We need as many people as possible to vote online. It only takes a couple of minutes but will be of benefit to the children at the school for many years to come.
“We have to be in the top eight to receive the funding and if we can get another 150 votes we could make it.”
The loo would help both current and future children with a range of different needs, enabling them to be more independent, and closer to the classrooms when time is of the essence.
The deadline for voting is noon at Monday. To vote, visit https://www.engagemutual.com/foundation/projects/222793/
