POLICE are warning homeowners to take extra security measures following a spate of thefts from sheds and garages in Tytherington and Alveston.
Avon and Somerset police are asking for information after ten break-ins were recorded overnight on December 10 and 11 and December 11 and 12.
Several garages, sheds and outhouses were forcibly entered and expensive power and garden tools stolen. Six bikes, like the ones pictured, were also taken.
The police would like to hear from anyone who recognises the bikes, or who may have been offered them or any tools for sale.
A light-coloured Transit-type van was also seen in the area at the times of the burglaries and police would like to hear from anyone who may have any information about it.
Anyone with any information about the burglaries or the stolen property, or who has had any sightings of suspicious people or vehicles in the area, is asked to call 101, quoting crime reference number 129234/14.
