Police trying to trace cyclist about suspected burglary
POLICE are trying to trace a cyclist who may have information about a suspected burglary near the Bristol to Bath cycle path.
The man was riding towards Bath between Warmley signal box and Oldland Common, at around 10-11am on Tuesday, December 16, when he was stopped by a female dog walker.
She described how she’d seen two suspicious men run down the steep embankment carrying bags. She asked the cyclist to call police from his phone, but instead he rode after them into Thirlmere Court, where he saw then get into a black Peugeot car.
Police are asking the cyclist, who was in his 40s and wearing a jacket, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 130891/14.
