BUS services from Severn Beach could be set for an overhaul after a consultation was launched to decided the future of two bus routes into Bristol.

South Gloucestershire Council is proposing to withdraw the 624 service between Severn Beach and Bristol City Centre due to low usage.

The services is subsidised by the council at a cost of £26,126 a year, providing one journey in each direction during the morning and evening peak.

As part of plans to withdraw the service an extra peak journey on the 625 service between the village and Patchway via Cribbs Causeway.

Plans have also been proposed to amend the 625 service which currently operates on an hourly service on Mondays to Saturdays at a cost of £142,630.

Proposed variations to route and timings will result in additional journey in the morning and evening peak with the route terminating at Bristol Parkway.
