A WOMAN in her 70s has been taken to Southmead Hospital following a two-car accident in Thornbury.
Emergency services were called at about 1pm today (March 3) to an incident in Eastland Road, just off Gloucester Road in Thornbury.
Four fire crews, two from Thornbury and two from Avonmouth, attended the accident.
Hydraulic cutting equipment was used to free the woman from her car and she was then taken to Southmead Hospital as a precaution.
The road was closed by fire crews attending the incident.
