RACIST graffiti has been removed from walls and fences in Thornbury.
The initials of the Ku Klux Klan were scrubbed from walls near Gloucester Road and Eastland Road in the town.
The graffiti was removed by prospective MP Luke Hall and local campaigners Steve and Karen Blick after it was reported by nearby residents on Good Friday.
Luke Hall said: “As soon as this was reported I went to see it for myself, there are some things that cannot wait for the council to sort, I wanted this gone from our community immediately.”
The issue has now been reported to the police and council.
Parish councillor Steve Blick said: “We are grateful to local residents for informing us of the graffiti, and would encourage people to let us know if this happens again.”
