A FARMER in Upper Morton has hit out at people who have vandalised a Ukip banner on his land three times in the last week.
The farmer who did not wish to be named said that the ropes attaching the banner to a tractor had been cut overnight on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday nights.
“It’s pure vandalism,” he said. “People can vote for who they like and there’s nothing against that. I think that whoever’s behind this is being paid to do it.”
The police have been informed of what has happened and the farmer said that they will be patrolling the area during the night to try and catch them.
