A SPONSORSHIP agreement worth £15,000 has been signed – helping to pave the way for a new pavilion for a popular bowls club.

The three-year deal between Olveston and District Bowling Club and Bradley Stoke-based firm PBF Wealth Management will help with their fundraising initiative.

Club president David Gledhill said: "We are bucking the trend in level green bowls where many clubs are seeing static or declining membership.

"Our club is 82 years old this year. We must improve our facilities, that currently includes a WW2 prisoner of war hut, to accommodate our members and allow us to open our doors to disabled bowlers and improve our opportunities for junior members.

“Thanks to Pedro, this sponsorship deal has given us a shot in the right direction and I look forward to our successful partnership".

PBF Wealth Management was established in 2013, when its director Pedro Bonillo-Farias accepted an invitation to become a partner in St. James's Place Wealth Management.

"This is my first venture into sponsorship as well" said Mr Bonillo-Farias. “This is a great opportunity for my business and I am pleased to be involved with Olveston bowling club and look forward to supporting them towards their goal of a new pavilion".
