AS VOTERS head to the polls across Thornbury and Yate today, there are two clear frontrunners to be the constituency’s next MP.
Bookmakers have Liberal Democrat Steve Webb and Conservative Luke Hall as the clear favourites, with a two-horse race expected when the votes are counted at Thornbury Leisure Centre tonight.
Mr Webb is tipped to hold on to his seat with odds of 1/4 at Ladbrokes, while Mr Hall was placed at 11/4.
Mr Webb is defending a majority of more than 7,000 votes from 2010, but he is far from certain of claiming victory again.
