FIVE hundred enthusiastic local Cubs and Beavers took part in live fire safety demonstrations in Almondsbury as part of an annual fun day on Saturday.
The demonstrations, performed by Chubb Fire and Safety, were held at Woodhouse Park activity centre.
The company, who provide businesses with security and fire safety solutions, have long worked closely with the Scouts having sponsored their fire safety badge for the past decade.
Marketing and communications manager for Chubb, Jane Garland said: “It’s great to see strong participation by Cubs and Beavers who are enhancing their knowledge and understanding of fire safety to keep them both safe now and in the future.”
The badge has been earned by more than 130,000 Scouts, becoming one of the most popular badges scouts can achieve.
