VOLUNTEERS are sought to help tidy up Thornbury in preparation for Britain in Bloom judging.
The town will be visited by Britain in Bloom judges on Thursday July 16 and people are being encouraged to attend a working party on Sunday and help with some final touches.
Chairman of Thornbury in Bloom, Guy Rawlinson, said: “We are making good progress but are looking for more people to come along and help with things such as weeding, cutting back and generally tidying up.
“It’s all about getting involved in ensuring Thornbury continues its great successes, as we have gained gold at both regional and national levels in the past.
“We have some new initiatives this year including the Ring of Thorns, the school gardening club initiative in conjunction with the RHS, Rock Street garden planting partnered by Churchill and Christ The King Prayer Garden.
"We want to draw attention to the judges' arrival so everyone who can spare some time can help out."
The working party day will start at 9.30am at Castle Court Carpark.
